Photography

On occasion I'm a keen amateur photographer. Up until recently I had a really nice praktica 35mm SLR camera. Unfortunately the backend died on me. I also had quite a collection of alternate lens for doing various kinds of shots. I also have filters including a special mylar film used to take pictures of the sun (this I bought specifically for the 1999 eclipse). Unfortunately the camera backend has just died and I'm not sure whether to buy a new one or go digital. I'm having difficulty finding a replacement. I'd like to go digital but that means throwing away all my old lenses. There seems to be no good reason why old lenses wont work with new digital cameras other than so the camera manufacturers can turn a fast buck. Grrrr.
