Plan of progressive development path to whole brain simulation
The problem of simulating an entire human brain is complex. It can be roughly
divided into three parts:
-
Design and construction of computing machinery sufficiently powerful to emulate an entire brain.
-
Development of a model of the brain sufficiently detail such that its functional characteristics
can be modelled.
-
Development of techniques that can reproduce the particulars of the model above by
scanning a (preferably living) human brain.
Benefits
This needs to be fleshed out will bullet points to justify the concept.
